March: Hidden Figures

In celebration of National Women’s History Month, Hidden Figures: The True Story of Four Black Women and the Space Race by Margot Lee Shetterly was selected for the month of March.

Margot Lee Shetterly brings to light an amazing true story of four extraordinary African-American female mathematicians (Dorothy Vaughan, Mary Jackson, Katherine Johnson, and Christine Darden) at NASA who helped achieve some of the greatest moments in our space program.
You can pick up a copy of the book at one of our library’s three branches or check out an EBOOK or an AUDIOBOOK from the comfort of your home by clicking HERE. After finishing the book, if you are interested in watching the motion picture, do visit the branch closest to you to check out the DVD.
